I’m always finding resources of some kind that I think would be valuable to The Guru Crew, so I’ve decided to start compiling a list under different categories.
Some of these categories will have separate pages you can go to, and others will be just on this page with a link, but ultimately I want you to have the benefits of me surfing the net over time and consuming various media – books, audio books, blogs etc – and also using various products that may be of use to you in some way – whether it be for your health, comfort or even online business.
If any of these happen to have an affiliate program, I will probably have joined it, which means if you click on the link I’ll get a small commission if you decide to buy anything from that store.
Being an affiliate really just means I get paid for referring you on to a certain merchant. You won’t pay any more than if you had stumbled upon them on Google, but I’ll get a commission – eg. for links to Amazon, for instance, I receive about 2-3% of the sale.
From that example you can see it’s a case of small commissions hopefully adding up over time to mean some extra income on my side – part of my dream of becoming financially independent!:-)
Some links pay higher commissions, but you will never pay more from going through my link.
Anyway, I’m hoping this Resource Guide will be a win-win. You get some great resources, and from some of these links I’ll get a commission if you purchase anything through them.
I really wanted to be up-front about this because I’m a big believer in transparency, openness and honesty. If you read my blogs, you probably already know that (occasionally you’re probably screaming “TMI!!” at you computer screen) 😉
As I’m in the process of collecting these Resources, and also making separate pages for them if required, I will continue to add to this page over time.
So here we go …
The first major category my virtual assistant team and I have compiled is a list of all the books on Amazon that mention CFS / ME / CFIDS / Chronic Fatigue Syndrome / Myalgic Encepaphomyelitis / Fibromyalgia in the title or description.
I must emphasise that I have not read all these books – I think that’d take a good few years – but I thought that it would be valuable for you to have a one-stop shop for books that may be of interest to you in the ME / CFS / FM realm.
Obviously Amazon has its review system, so you can often get a good idea of how good/valuable the book is before purchasing.
And sometimes a book is a real gem, but somehow not too many people have read it, and even less have returned to do a review on it.
If you happen to find a real gem, please let me know via Twitter or Facebook, and I’ll attempt to read it if I haven’t already, and then do a review on it – or maybe you’d even like to do a guest review!!!
I’m always open to guest bloggers contributing The Get Up And Go Guru blog.
We’ve created a separate page for this enormous document – hats off to my VA Jen for her diligence and persistence in putting this page together – so click here and you will be taken to the list, in alphabetical order, with images and direct links to Amazon.
Let me know what you think.
I’ll keep compiling my lists. I’m planning on having a list of books/audio books I recommend from personal experience, which will be on a wide range of topics.
I also plan on making other lists over time. If you have some kind of product that you use and get benefit from – whether it be a health product, a comfort product or even a favourite DVD series – please let me know about it and I can add it to my lists.
Keep Smiling & Enjoy the resources
