Since kicking myself in the backside and starting a super-healthy diet/health regime to get myself back on track after my 2013 stomach parasites, resultant die-off & detox, plus a virus on top, I have started having smoothies with fruit and almond/rice milk for my breakfast.
I vary the fruits, but usually it’s frozen blueberries, mango and banana, with spirulina powder and chia seeds. As I’m up visiting my parents in my hometown I had the privilege of going to pick some fresh mulberries from a friend’s massive tree the other day.
You don’t get mulberries in shops fresh because presumably they are so fragile when ripe they’d be impossible to transport, they don’t ripen off the tree, and also they would be hard to harvest as they are on often-huge trees and spread out.
